Is This My Brain,
Or Is This My Life?

A 90-minute live session for women in midlife, with Dr Alla Demutska and Dr Yvonne Sum

A woman of 47 says: I cannot do this any more. That sentence can have three completely different meanings. My capacity has dropped and it will come back. I have outgrown this, and no amount of sleep will fix it. Or both at once, and the first is what made the second audible.

Perimenopause makes everything harder to read: the fog, the rage, the 3am waking, the confidence that dropped without a reason you can point to. Some of it is the transition, and it will pass. Some of it is your life asking for something. This session is about telling them apart - what is actually happening in your body and brain, why it hits the most capable women hardest, and the questions that separate fog from truth. So you do not make a permanent decision inside an unmanaged transition, and you do not let anyone tell you the question was never real.

The session ran live on Tuesday 18 August 2026. The recording is below, and the accompanying PDF is yours if you would like it.
